4G LTE why are we only starting a trial in Cornwall when T-Mobile US customers already enjoy theoretical download speeds of up to 42Mbps? (http://ping.fm/vsLHS)

OK it’s not 4G LTE – LTE, which stands for Long Term Evolution, is a particular type of 4G system that allows data download speeds of 100 megabits per second while on the move, and faster speeds for stationary wireless connections – but it’s a shedload better than what Sky is offering me at present – on average <1Mbps!

C'mon guys we were ahead of the US when SMS started, we coined in mega-bucks for the Government with 3G licences now it's time we saw that income reinvested in 4G for rural areas – how much longer will we need to wait before we can offer a better than dial-up modem service to the rural shires?
